Summer In The City - Aug 17

Superstar Nomads play Waterford’s Summer in the City festival on Sat Aug 17th, joined by Fintan Scanlon & The Pedant’s.

This will be a free gig at the O’Connell Street stage, with Fintan and band kicking off at 8pm, followed by the Nomads at 9.

We’ve been busy writing new songs and are looking forward to playing them live. Hope to see you there! Further info HERE.

Fintan Scanlon Solo EP

Fintan’s debut EP “Work in Progress” was released in April 2023 and is out now on all streaming services.

Live Debut

Not only are Superstar Nomads back, but we’ve finally – finally – played live, more than 20 years after first forming. The band supported Fintan Scanlon at his EP launch to a sold-out audience in The Loft, Tramore, on April 15 2023.

About the Band

Superstar Nomads never met a genre they didn’t like.

The Waterford-based 6-piece adopt a collaborative songwriting approach with each member drawing from disparate backgrounds and influences to arrive at unique and unexpected musical fusions. Not content to stay in one lane too long, their sound veers from catchy pop to rock, blues to ballads, funk to experimental to all-out bonkers.

They’re a band forged of contradictions, whose mission is to “sprinkle a bit of nomad” on the mundane and see what takes root.

After an unusually long hiatus, Superstar Nomads are re-energised, writing new material and planning a return to the studio later in 2024.

In the meantime several live performances are in the works and their debut recording, There’ll Be Bricks, is out now on all streaming services.
